This Lawrence Park home was being renovated and upgraded from top to bottom for resale.  The builder wanted a classic front garden that would attract potential buyers, without breaking the bank.  Oh, and could we throw in an unofficial parking pad too?  In keeping with the traditional style of neighbouring properties, my design was classic, monochromatic and a little bit grand.  Low stone posts and conical cedars frame the front entry and screen the landing at the foot of the porch steps from street level.  The main walkway continues off-centre to the left of the porch, leading to the side entrance and back garden, as well as stepping down to the street, leaving enough room for occasional parking.  Conifers and white flowering hydrangeas and perennials complete this classic makeover.
